Every now and then we come across a problem that has you pulling your hair out well today my head must look like Homer Simpson! To explain my issues I have decided to seek an out of the box CMS and eCommerce package, after days of searching I have come across what seems to be a perfect package, which goes by the name of SEOToaster (I plan to review this product in the near future).

To test this product on my localhost I had to be running PHP 5.3.3 or higher to which I was running PHP 5.2.10 so I uninstalled the old version of WAMP and installed the new version which is Wampserver 64bit running Apache 2.2.22 and PHP 5.4.3 you can download this here: Wampserver.

To my annoyance I was still greeted with an error for the PHP Curl extension after searching for many hours I finally found the solution.

Firstly you need to open up the WAMP folder and go to wamp/bin/php/php5.4.3 you then need to open the files: php.ini and phpForApache.ini in your chosen text editor.

You need to find the line where it says: ;extension=php_curl.dll in both files and uncomment them by simply deleting the semicolon (;)

I restarted WAMP and still found to problem was not resolved I then discovered the is a error in the WAMP file called: php_curl.dll this can be found: wamp/bin/php/php5.4.3/ext I found the replacement file here: http://www.anindya.com/php-5-4-3-and-php-5-3-13-x64-64-bit-for-windows/

I downloaded the zip file: php_curl-5.4.3-nts-VC9-x64.zip which worked for me. I hope this can get you out of the pickle I found myself in.
